Black and Gold

This card was made for a friend whose niece turned 18 last week.  The theme for her party was black and gold.  I hadn't seen the invitation, also black and gold, and it was spooky to see how close my design was to the invite when I did see it

Sister Act #101 anything goes

613 Avenue Create #119  anything goes with an option to create your own challenge from list provided. I chose to do a 5" x 7", not on the list but a common size for me to use, birthday, gold/metallic

Using my Cuttlebug and the Birthday embossing folder I embossed a piece of gold linen card.  Also from the gold linen card I cut the number and the C using the Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet dies and the rest of the name with the Memory Box Classic Upper Case dies. I mounted the embossed card onto black cardstock and trimmed it to leave a narrow border before adhering it to the card. I attached the letter dies onto black card, gold and another black layer attaching it to the card with 3D foam pads.  I made the rosette from black paper edged with a gold metallic Promarker and black ribbon. I used a hot glue gun to stick this to the card and finished it off with the 18 topper.  The embossed card looks green below the name but it is just the reflection from the cutting mat

Digital cuteness

This is the card that I made for our daughter's birthday.  I am entering it into the following challenges

ABC Challenge  G is for Go Digital

613 Avenue Create #118  anything goes

The Pink Elephant #293  pastel colours

Sister Act #100  anything goes

Papertake Weekly  anything goes

I made this card using the free cd-rom that was is in the Crafter's Inspiration magazine issue 2 from Crafter's Companion.  The chick and the flower are decoupaged and layered using 3D foam pads.  I edged the chick panel with a Memento ink pad for definition.  The card is a pre-scored card blank with deckled edges.  For the backing paper I used my Woodware paper trimmer with the deckle edge blade on three sides and the straight blade for the fourth side to match the card shape.  To finish I added a peeloff greeting from Craft Creations and put Anita's gems in the centres of the little flowers

Fanfare please :)

Well, at long last, here I am with a card to share with you all.  I'm entering it into the following challenges

Whimsy Stamps #81 use a die cut

The teddy stamp and the embossing folder are both Daisy Chain freebies from Card Making and Papercraft.  I used Promarkers to colour the image and cut around it leaving a white border before attaching it to some red card which I also cut leaving a red border.  To get the curved cut I used Spellbinder's Curved Borders 1.  The sentiment was cut with Britannia dies.  The white card and the teddy are attached to the card using 3D foam pads
