Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone Happy New Year.  I hope that 2016 will be a good one for all of you.

On a personal note 2015 has not been a good one for me, mentally and physically, perhaps noticeable by the lack of cards and other projects that I have posted on my blog.  I really hope that I can turn this around for 2016 and be a lot more productive.

Many thanks to those of you who have visited me when there has been so little to look at

W for Wishes

I like the simplicity of this card and one that I can see me making again.  It was quick to make too so perfect for the card you need straight away.  As a female card I would probably swap the swirl for a flower or butterfly.  I am entering it into the challenges at

V for Violet

This card is a joint collaboration between myself and Elizabeth.  Elizabeth did the cross-stitch and I did the rest and it was for Elizabeth's mother-in-law

I'm entering it into the challenges at

ABC challenge  V for violet

Word Art Wednesday #210  anything goes

The cross-stitch design was quite large which needed an 8 x 8 card to show it off properly which I didn't have so put it together using two 12 x 12s.  I mounted the design onto white card so that the solid colour paper didn't show through.  I then cut a frame which I covered with the patterned paper and mounted it onto the card using 3d foam pads.  the papers are from a pack of Brenda Pinnick papers which I've had for a very long time from the days when I used to buy from QVC.  the colours in the papers are a really good match to the colours of threads used

Help please

Going through my reading list I have come across posts from the following website  does anyone have any idea how I can get rid of items from my reading list?  There aren't any posts on my blog as I have to approve posts before they are published and I haven't seen anything from them.  I do have days when I've a ridiculous amount of hits on my blog but I don't know where they're from.  It always seems to be a Tuesday when this happens, the highest in one day being 715!!!!! but mainly 100-200 a day.

I also keep getting posts on my reading list from blogs that I no longer follow so would like to be able to filter these out too

Hope someone can help, thanks for reading this post

Kraft Box

Due to having a few health problems I take 11 different tablets a day, some up to 3 times a day.  It's a bit of a nightmare getting all the boxes out each time so I have made a box to keep the current blister pack or tablet box in, So much easier getting just one box out of the cupboard.  It was about time I made a new box as the previous one was getting a bit tatty.  I'm entering into the following challenges

Black and Gold

This card was made for a friend whose niece turned 18 last week.  The theme for her party was black and gold.  I hadn't seen the invitation, also black and gold, and it was spooky to see how close my design was to the invite when I did see it

Sister Act #101 anything goes

613 Avenue Create #119  anything goes with an option to create your own challenge from list provided. I chose to do a 5" x 7", not on the list but a common size for me to use, birthday, gold/metallic

Using my Cuttlebug and the Birthday embossing folder I embossed a piece of gold linen card.  Also from the gold linen card I cut the number and the C using the Cuttlebug Olivia alphabet dies and the rest of the name with the Memory Box Classic Upper Case dies. I mounted the embossed card onto black cardstock and trimmed it to leave a narrow border before adhering it to the card. I attached the letter dies onto black card, gold and another black layer attaching it to the card with 3D foam pads.  I made the rosette from black paper edged with a gold metallic Promarker and black ribbon. I used a hot glue gun to stick this to the card and finished it off with the 18 topper.  The embossed card looks green below the name but it is just the reflection from the cutting mat

I made this card using the free cd-rom that was is in the Crafter's Inspiration magazine issue 2 from Crafter's Companion.  The chick and the flower are decoupaged and layered using 3D foam pads.  I edged the chick panel with a Memento ink pad for definition.  The card is a pre-scored card blank with deckled edges.  For the backing paper I used my Woodware paper trimmer with the deckle edge blade on three sides and the straight blade for the fourth side to match the card shape.  To finish I added a peeloff greeting from Craft Creations and put Anita's gems in the centres of the little flowers

Fanfare please :)

Well, at long last, here I am with a card to share with you all.  I'm entering it into the following challenges

The teddy stamp and the embossing folder are both Daisy Chain freebies from Card Making and Papercraft.  I used Promarkers to colour the image and cut around it leaving a white border before attaching it to some red card which I also cut leaving a red border.  To get the curved cut I used Spellbinder's Curved Borders 1.  The sentiment was cut with Britannia dies.  The white card and the teddy are attached to the card using 3D foam pads

715 Hits

I can't believe that 715 people looked at my blog yesterday!  I never had that many when I was posting daily let alone when I've not posted anything properly since Christmas.  I find it quite freaky that once a week I have mega hits on my blog without knowing why.

Anyone got any ideas?????

Hello my friends

Well it's been a long time since I posted on my blog but, hopefully, I'll get back into the rhythm pretty soon.  My mojo has got up and gone probably as I only have a couple cards needed for January and February and I was able to use cards I'd already made.

Thanks to everyone who has popped in during this time.  I've noticed a couple of days where I've had an exceptionally high number of visitors,  24th February 239 visitors and yesterday 177 visitors.  Has anyone else noticed anything unusual in their visitor numbers?

See you all again soon

Where oh where.......... *edited*

.........have my photos gone?

I cleared them from my tablet and it looks as though they've been deleted from my blog too :(  I'll have to check out my laptop in my craft room and see if I can restore anything.  It might take some while if I have to add them back into my posts :(  I'll never start back with my paper crafting at this rate!!

I'm slowly updating my pictures but I don't know how far back I'm going to go.  Just going to try and do one months worth each day that I have this laptop on
