I've just been scrolling down the updates on blogs that I follow on my dashboard and I have a comment Made by Daryl about tickets for the NEC Birmingham, the name of the blog is The NEC and I definitely don't follow that one.
Just been scroling further down and I have 6 updates to the NEC blog by Daryl
May be worth while checking the blogs you follow to see if you have any suspect updates. They may be linked to the problems that we're having at the moment

Here we go again!

Looks as though my settings have gone awol again :o(

I don't know what's wrong here but I can't leave any comments for anyone! I keep changing the field to use my google account name but it's not working, just keep getting the same sign in page. Also noticed that "box" on the top bar for a new post is missing, had to go back to my dashboard to start this and the previous post. Any help would be greatly received :o)

Just a couple of photos

Who would have thought that Adrian and I could produce two beautiful children. Not only in looks but in spirit too. Such a blessing to us and we're thankful every day for them. Elizabeth's face on the left is directly in line with a fold in the backdrop, looks as though she's been crumpled lol

And the reason that we think we couldn't have beautiful children? Just check out the two shorties hehehe

Something else that's kept me busy :o)

Before my son went back to Afghanistan in January (for the last time, we hope) he asked if I would be able to make him some sort of storage box to keep all his letters and cards etc in that we had sent to him on his three postings to Afghanistan. He suggested an old shoe box but knowing that most of the cards that I had sent to him were too big for that, as were some of the gift items that we sent, I went in search of a suitable box. I found one at Cuddly_Buddly which was 26cm square so it was plenty big enough to take landscape A5 cards. To decorate it I painted both inside and out with magnolia emulsion and then set work!! I used Adirondak and Tim Holtz Distress inks to colour over the magnolia and mainly stamps that I have purchased from, Crafty_Individuals, crackle, script, post mark and the pocket watch was a freebie from Craft Stamper. When I was happy with the coverage I then inked the chipboard shapes, again from Crafty Individuals, that I bought a while back, but hadn't used, having seen them in the Craft Stamper magazine. I used the Decorative Flourishes on the sides, and the Swirls and Fleur de Lys on the lid.
The corner "protectors" were the waste from the Fleur de Lys sheets.

The Decorative Flourishes

When all that was done I used an ink duster to colour the inside of the box and lid concentrating the colour in the corners and the joins to give an aged, dusty look

I finished off the project by making some dividers for Michael to separate his keepsakes.

Michael absolutely loved it and it is now on display in his new home

More wedding stuff!

Jane, for the wedding stationery I made 30 invitations and RSVP cards, 60 order of service and 40 favours which I forgot to photograph, doh!!! Inside the favours were small rolls of Lovehearts which all read "Just Married" and the labels had their names and the date on them. They were delivered in a gorgeous memory box with the Loveheart image embossed in one corner.

I'm going to enter this card that I made for Michael & Aisling into the challenge

I love the Lilli of the Valley stamps and could easily buy them all if I had the necessary pennies!

This first image is the box and I stamped the image using Memento London Fog ink
The card is 7 x 7" and I used the same stamp as on the box but stamped in black this time. I've had the papers for ages and I can't remember the manufacturer. The ribbon is the same as on the lid and I added white cotton lace for detail and put heart shaped beads in each corner to tie in with the Lovehearts used in the favours. Matts were cut using Spellbinders Labels #1 in my Cuttlebug

The daisy shaped flowers are mulberry paper and were coloured using Promarkers. I also used them on the ribbon roses. I was really pleased with the way all the colours blended so well together

A close up of the topper, I used Glamour dust on the lines of the dress but it doesn't show up very well on here

A close up of the lid image

I also made this ring pillow. It's 12 x 12 which is a bit bigger than most pillows but I wanted it to be big enough to be a scatter cushion for their bedroom. The pattern was a Jo Verso design

So pleased with my ribbon bows

Wedding Stationery

Today's blog entry is showing the wedding stationery that I did for Aisling and Michael. They were very focused on how they wanted everything to look. This meant that I didn't have to do any thinking other than tweaking their ideas into something workable lol. The photograph on all the items was one that we took of their hands showing Aisling's engagement ring and Michael wearing Groom cufflinks. We were all very pleased with the finished results and had lots of positive feedback on the design.

I used pearlescent cream card and paper from the Paper Mill Shop and the ribbon was from a local haberdashery retailer.

The invitation was tied using pink gossamer ribbon

The RSVP was done as a postcard for guests to pop in the post. It uses the same photo but in a faded depth of colour

The order of service had a double insert which was held in place using the ribbon as before

Changing my Email address help :o)

I'm hoping that someone can help me with this. I have changed my email address but the message notifications are still being sent to my old address. It does say on the settings that the registered email address doesn't change but I want to close my other email address. If I do close it will I lose my blog? :o(

Time flies!!

I can't believe that it is exactly 4 months today since I last made an entry on my blog. I must get back into card making again as I haven't made a card this year, I've used up all my stock for the birthdays so far this year!

Michael and Aisling got married Friday gone and it was perfect, couldn't have wished for a nicer day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They left for Germany yesterday with not an inch of unoccupied space in the car. I thought he might have had to leave Aisling behind lol They have arrived safely and have unpacked everything and been to Ikea for some more pieces of furniture. Tonight they're going back to the restaurant they went to on their first date awwww!

Michael's Afghanistan medal caught the flash on this one

Elizabeth is the bridesmaid on the right
